Great decision to cast Ryan Gosling because the role and character of a NY school teacher, addicted to drugs and cant help himself but try to keep his student away from it because he knows its evils, this perfectly fit Gosling's style of acting. This might not be a very thrilling or sentimental movie but it definitely is a thought provoking movie.
Here at M.A.D we want to review titles that have a strong story to them but are mostly hidden under the blockbusters, big budgets and controversial movies. Half Nelson is one of those movies.
Now a word or two about Ryan Gosling. After the success of Notebook, (Which we would review soon) Half Nelson established Gosling as an actor who has not just good looks but acting talent as well. Its like the story was a skeleton and Gosling filled it with flesh.

Continuing with the M A D culture, the recommendation for the different mood genre are

Girls:  will love it....not for the content but for ....... Ryan Gosling ofcourse.

Sentimental Guys: Will like it too 

High on Testosterone Guys: Hmm ...Maybe ..... Maybe Not ..... i don't know :P
